Chloe Bear Says

A Video Birthday Message  Chloe decided she wanted to do a video for Grammy B's birthday. So she decided to be Grammy B (that's a lot of Bs) and sing a little. Her Grammy B costume consisted of wearing Daddy's glasses down on the end of her nose. Here's her video tribute to Grammy B. I think we need to work on her rhyming :)

Reading about Leprechauns The other night Chloe was all excited about leprechauns. For St. Patrick's day her class read some books about leprechauns at school. She also had some friends who reported seeing green water in their toilets! Obvious evidence that leprechauns had been up to no good at their houses. When we got home Chloe was eager to check our toilets and see if we had any tiny green visitor who needed to relieve themselves in between other mischief.   After checking both toilets she was disappointed to find no green water. She thoroughly looked through the whole house asking me tons of questions about leprechauns. Questions like:  Daddy where do leprechauns hide?  How big are leprechauns?  Do you think they would go in Mason's room? Fortunately we did find a cup of green water in Mason's room. Obviously, leprechauns had been to our house. When I found the water I asked Chloe if she wanted to touch it and she said no. She...

It's Called a Hiccup Chloe came home from school the other day and told mommy..."I want to show you a new exercise I learned at school. I think you're going to like it, it's called a Hiccup." She demonstrated the exercise and when she was done Mommy said "I think you mean Burpee."

We're reading about Tim, Anna and Michael. They are running a race. Tim is winning but then Michael falls down. Even though Tim wants to win he stops to help his friend. Anna keeps going and wins the race. Chloe and I talked about the story. Tim was a good friend and helping Michael was more important than winning the race. I asked Chloe who would you want to be in this story, Anna or Tim? She thought for a long time. At one point I said well? and she held up her index finger to indicate I needed to wait. She was still thinking. Finally she said "Tim." I was impressed, she really thought that through.  I said "what were you thinking about all that time?" She said..."I was doing eenie, meenie in my head."

Tonight I learned about a word Chloe has trouble saying. She wanted to play "Store" with mommy and me. Mommy was the shop keeper and Chloe and I were supposed to be FeeFs or Feeths...you know people who go to stores, take things and then get thrown in jail.  That's right thieves...not easy for someone with no front teefs to say!

Married?  Tonight, Chloe told me that someday she would get married and I would come to her house. When I came in she would say "Daddy, meet my husband"

Mail! Someone is pretty happy to get mail from Grammy B and Grampa. Inside was a funny picture of a cat.  Chloe said "that cat cracks me up"

Big Fancy Hair Chloe: You have bad ears Daddy: You didn't know Daddy used to play in bands and listen to loud music Chloe: Oh, and did you have big fancy hair?

Chloe and I are going to watch a movie together. She told me "it's got some scary parts so you should bring a stuffed animal."  "I told her I don't have one."  So she got me a purple bear.  I think I'm ready!

So today Chloe asked me to come downstairs to see her office. She had put a paper on her bedroom door that said "office" and as I walked in I saw she had pulled her chair in front of her nightstand to make a desk.  She sat down at her desk and told me she needed to write out some checks. She took out a piece of paper, grabbed a pen and wrote three check marks on the paper.  She handed it to me saying "here are your checks" and then she asks "what are you laughing about?"
